Focus and Scope
Journal of Social Dynamics is a peer-reviewed journal that is committed to the publication of scholarly works in the field of social and humanities. The editors welcome the articles that are based on empirical studies and theoretical debates, which focus on social change, social tensions, and social conflict. Journal of Social Dynamics covers any time period and broad geographic region, although its main focus is contemporary Southeast Asia. The editors seek to publish the articles that particularly concentrate on:
1. Social tensions in the relations of social groups, either inter-groups or within a certain social group, such as ethnic, religious, class, and other social groupings.
2. Social conflicts that occur in any aspects of life, such as dispute of control over natural resources, dispute of political factions, industrial relations, and other kinds of social disputes.
3. Social movements that are committed in the transformation of society, such as the initiatives in literacy campaign, environmental campaign, anti-corruption, human right, cultural revitalization, and other initiatives.
4. Social tensions in art and cultural production, and identity formation.

Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
