Correction and Retraction

Jurnal Pendidikan dan Penciptaan Seni is committed to maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record. When errors or concerns are identified in published articles, the journal will evaluate the matter and take appropriate action based on the nature and seriousness of the issue.

Corrections

A correction may be issued when an error affects the accuracy, clarity, or completeness of a published article but does not invalidate its principal findings or conclusions. Examples may include significant factual errors, incorrect author information, or other publication errors that require formal clarification.

Retractions

A retraction may be considered when there is reliable evidence that an article's findings or conclusions are substantially unreliable, or when serious publication misconduct has occurred. Grounds may include fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other serious breaches of research and publication ethics.

Editorial process

The editor will assess the available evidence and may seek explanations from the authors, reviewers, institutions, or other relevant parties. Decisions will be made fairly and proportionately, with consideration for the integrity of the scholarly record.

Where a correction or retraction is necessary, the journal will publish an appropriate notice identifying the affected article and explaining the reason for the action. The original publication record will be maintained as appropriate, with clear links between the article and its correction or retraction notice.

The journal will not remove or alter published articles without an appropriate editorial basis, except where removal is required by law or necessary to address exceptional legal or safety concerns.
