1. Ethical Responsibility in Manuscript Submission
Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) invests substantial editorial time, plagiarism screening resources, and external reviewer expertise into every submitted manuscript. Therefore, authors are expected to ensure that all co-authors and institutional supervisors have approved the submission before uploading a manuscript to our OJS portal.
2. Conditions for Permissible Withdrawal
- Prior to Peer Review Assignment: A Corresponding Author may request withdrawal without penalty within 7 days of initial submission if the manuscript has not yet been assigned to external peer reviewers, by submitting a formal written request to the Editor-in-Chief.
- Discovery of Fundamental Scientific Error: A manuscript may be withdrawn at any stage if the authors discover a major methodological or empirical error that invalidates the research conclusions.
3. Unethical Withdrawal Practices
It is a breach of publication ethics for authors to:
- Request withdrawal after peer review has been completed or after a revision/acceptance decision has been issued simply to submit the manuscript to another journal;
- Submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals and withdraw from EBMSJ when accepted elsewhere;
- Abandon a manuscript without responding to editorial communications after peer-review reports have been delivered.
4. Formal Withdrawal Procedure and Sanctions
Any request for manuscript withdrawal must be submitted via an official Manuscript Withdrawal Request Letter signed by all listed authors stating the specific scholarly reason for withdrawal and addressed to the Editor-in-Chief (mahesainstitute@gmail.com). A manuscript is not considered withdrawn until the Editor-in-Chief issues a formal written confirmation. Unilateral or unethical withdrawal after peer review has commenced may result in the blacklisting of the authors from submitting to EBMSJ and other Mahesa Research Center journals for a period of 2 years.
